Thai Spicy Tamarind Dipping Sauce also known as Nam jim jaew is a dipping sauce originating from the Isan or Northeastern region of Thailand.
A simple sauce made with shallots, chilies, cilantro and seasonings. Thai Spicy Tamarind dipping sauce is sweet, sour and a little spicy. It’s very quick and easy to make and great with any type of grilled or fried meat, sticky rice, and fresh vegetables according to the original recipe from Master Chef Nooror Somany, founder of the Blue Elephant Royal Thai Cuisine.
Ingredients: Tamarind paste (tamarind, water) 41.6%, Sugar 23.8%, Fish sauce (anchovies (fish), salt, sugar, water) 16.6%, Shallot 11.9%, Parsley 3.6%, Dried chili powder 2.4%, Thickener (E415) 0.1%.
